Carnival is not a spectacle seen by the people; they live in it, and everyone participates because its very idea embraces all the people. (Mikhail Bakhtin)
We've begun another phase of the Long War. The Gadsden Flag seems
a particularly appropriate symbol to bear at this point. As a Navy veteran, I'm partial to the Navy Jack version.
About Me
Nowhere girl's #3 cat
Why "nowhere girl?" C. and I are in the 50's to 60's age range. We've had our job and health issues, so sometimes it feels like all of life is on indefinite hold. "Girl" rather than "woman" because it needed a one-syllable word, and because I still get the urge to be young once in a while.
"Now here" and "nowhere" is such a perfect ambiguity; if you've seen Miracles, you know why. Questions are always more important than answers. For the moment, I'm "now here."
